Just Jamming

Apologies for the awful pun! Since the crowdfunder campaign has been live, we have received numerous requests for more details of the rewards on offer for all your lovely pledges! Over the next few weeks we'll be posting about each of the rewards and introducing you to some of our amazing collaborators. We'll also be launching a few extra rewards so keep your eyes peeled!

For now we'd like to introduce you to our jams! With help from our friends at the Old Tree Brewery and Silo's ace kitchens - we have been turning bundles of intercepted fruit and veg into delicious jams and chutneys. The combinations are all dependent upon what we happen to intercept. Our first batch  transformed 1500 mangos destined for landfill into delicious jars of Mango and Black Pepper Jam, Mango Chutney and Mango and Plum Jam. You may have picked up a jar at Churchill Square farmers market, or tried a generous spoonful at one of our Friday cafe's.

Since then we have whipped up Apple and Pear Jam - which made it's film debut in the kitchens of Silo. As well as jars of Red Onion Marmalade which our friends at Curb (Southamptons Real Junk Food Project) have been happily tucking into!

If you would like a jar of one of our delicious jams, simply make a pledge of £10 or more on our Crowdfunder site here!

With your jar of jam you'll be saving georgeous produce from languishing in landfill and helping us raise £15000 to bring a 7-day pay as you feel cafe to Brighton! More than just a jar of jam then...

Over the coming weeks we'll be sharing more details for all of the other ace rewards for our Crowfunder campaign. Until then,

Team TRJFPB X
